2023 has been horrific for all shelters & rescues! Imagine living in a community with NO Animal Control/Shelter and getting calls 24/7 for strays, injured dogs & yes even deceased dogs. Money doesn’t grow on trees but how do you say no? Each day a little of your heart dies seeing the horrors! And the constant emails from shelters killing hundreds of dogs daily specifically GSDS! The texts and PM’s from people wanting to surrender their dogs & other rescues needing help are impossible to keep up with! The rescue rarely asks for help for majority of the strays saved, however 2023 has been beyond overwhelming. This was the latest horror story that LBCR encountered & Jaime Lou couldn’t say no! 8 puppies covered in fleas that none of us have ever seen this many or this size. The pups are all terrified of humans, anemic, full of parasites, skin wounds, missing hair and malnourished. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. If you are interested in adopting a dog from LBCR, please fill out our adoption application that can be found here on our website. After we get it processed we will be in touch to find out more about what you are looking for in your new dog. If you have a particular dog in mind, please let us know. Since we are a national rescue, we have dogs in multiple states and out of state adoptions are welcomed. We can arrange transportation for your new dog to just about anywhere. Duvel The Dreamer
Duvel is a beautiful senior (approximately 10) Belgian Malinois. He is potty trained & he has nice house manners. He is dog friendly & very sweet. But he is Belgian Malinois no matter how old he is. He is still active (but not hyper) so don't think he is a typical senior, he has plenty of pep.
He still acts like a 5 year old with lots of life to share with a wonderful new family.
